WendiWitch Hollow: The VideoGame!
Gorrn the troll walked out of his Froupolis audience with Queen Jillian in a state of shock. He should have been thrilled. He had just negotiated his homeland’s independence from the Queendom. It was a landmark achievement: the people in Üllbridge town and beyond could now form whatever government they chose. The vast territory freed included the Upper Hollow, which stretched the entirety of the goblin woods from Mirror Mountain down to the Enchanted River and from the Ghostwood to the Greenway. It included the ancient and mystical Üllbridge itself which crossed the Enchanted River as well as the town around it. As if that weren’t enough, the Queen bundled in the entire Lower Hollow as well, from the Ghostwood to the Lannanel River, all the way down to the very edge of Frightsburg. Gorrn was pretty sure that some of Frightsburg’s factories stood on lands which now belonged to the Hollow. WendiWitch Hollow citizens now included goblins, trolls, dryads, rabbitfolk, pixies, fairies, hags, taurans and every other type of fey imaginable. Managing all those diverse creatures and getting them to agree on a government was going to be next to impossible. Yet that’s not what made Gorrn the most anxious. In his nervousness, Gorrn had somehow agreed to deliver 50 tons of vanilla beans each year to the Queendom. He was not sure how he was going to explain that tiny detail to everyone when he got back home.
WendiWitch Hollow is a new 2d videogame in the works at ironetic. In it, players will explore the town of Üllbridge and its weird, wonderful cast of characters, both mortal and fey. They will endeavor to harvest and meet the annual vanilla beans quota agreed to by Gorrn in the Contract for Independence. They will choose allies and make critical decisions in industrial and political intrigues taking place in the Hollow and its neighboring lands.
At the heart of it, WendiWitch Hollow is a resource management simulator. It adds layers of rich storytelling and immersive role-playing, with complex decision trees and a wide array of potential outcomes. The game also features a detailed craft system for cooking, fashion and hexcraft, of course. Will the Hollow maintain its independence or fail after the first year?
